The Helford River in Cornwall is a marine inlet formed by the flooding of a river valley following the last ice age. The river fills and drains with the tide, creating an amazing ecosystem of animals and birds. The banks of the river and surrounding 200 year old woodland is filled with ferns, wildflowers and oak trees. Wildflowers found throughout the seasons include Lesser Celandine, Primrose, Wood Anemone, and of course an abundance of Bluebells.
