After selling a few of my designs to Tresco Island, they approached me with the idea of a unique fabric created for them, to sit in harmony with the environment.
I created this watercolour repeat for Tresco Island for use in their time-share holiday cottages and hotel. I worked closely with Lucy Dorrien Smith, co-owner of the island, to create a truly bespoke design. I was lucky enough to go out in April time to meet with Lucy and sketch, paint and photograph the flora that we wanted to include in the print. This large scale print was inspired by some of the flora in the Tresco Abbey Gardens; Protea, Hydrangea, Agapanthus, Ferns and Pelargoniums.
It was amazing to see my fabrics made up in Hell Bay Hotel on Bryher, photographed here. This fabric is also available to purchase by the meter from me, please do get in contact it you are interested! Many clients have purchased it to have a bright and colourful reminder of Scilly at home. I've even made if up for my own bedroom!
